Chris Osgood can’t stop shots anymore.
Saturday he was pulled after allowing five goals on 11 shots.
Coach Peter Laviolette says he’s sticking with Osgood. But it’s not like the Islanders are such a strong team that they can afford to play with what has basically become an empty net. And it’s not like the Islanders don’t have future franchise goalie Rick DiPietro waiting to come up.
Even when Osgood was at his best, he still wasn’t great. But he was always good enough.
Maybe he just needs glasses? Or maybe they can bring back the orange WHL pucks for him.
