Ghostbusting

Philadelphia beating Ottawa is a big win for the Flyers. Ottawa embarassed Philly in the first round of last year’s playoffs, so they really needed to stand up and show they’re a different team.
Philadelphia scored twice in one game, so right away, you can see it’s a different Flyers now.
Flyer coach Ken Hitchcock typically found no meaning in the game: “I don’t think it’s a milestone. It’s not a milestone you want to get into. It’s one hockey game. I don’t think you have any opportunity for revenge until you play a team in the playoffs again. So I think talking in terms of that is not relevant.”
In other replays of last year’s playoffs, Carolina beat New Jersey again.
