Dunham Joins the Rangers

The Rangers picked up goalie Mike Dunham from Nashville. They gave up winger Rem Murray, defensemen Tomas Kloucek and the rights to Marek Zidlicky. In a second deal, they traded a future draft pick for Oiler winger Josh Green.
The Rangers also announced goalie Mike Richter will be out the rest of the season. He’s trying to get over a concussion.
Dunham is just getting over a strained groin (ouch!). There have also been some doubts about Dunham’s efficacy as a goalie. He never even really emerged as the strong number one in Nashville. But then again, he played for the Predators. It’s hard to get psyched when Nashville is playing in front of you.
The Rangers are also rumored to be interested in Ottawa winger Magnus Arvedson and maybe defenseman Shane Hnidy. The Senators supposedly want Ranger enforcer Matthew Barnaby while the Rangers are offering up Ronald Petrovicky and/or Mikael Samuelsson.
So basically, the Rangers have decided to start over with a new team. A team of just centers and no wingers.
