I know it’s crappy to obsess over a coach’s goalie choice, but it seems kind of a bad sign that Dave Lewis went with Manny Legace over Curtis Joseph against the Red Wings conference rivals, Dallas. CuJo’s been having a tough year so far, with his most recent embarassment being yanked against the floundering Islanders.
He’s played well against Dallas this season, though. So you would think Lewis would put him in. But Legace got the nod, and the tie, giving up only one goal to Dallas.
Just what the NHL needs more goalie conflict.
