Broadway Boris

I don’t know about this new pipeline between New York and Chicago. The Rangers send them their crap, and Chicago turns it to gold (the surging Theo Fleury). And Chicago sends New York their crap and the Rangers are stuck with it.
Welcome to New York, Boris Mironov.
The newest New York Ranger is probably best known for deciding he wasn’t getting enough minutes in Chicago and staging a strike. Over $600,000 later, he asked to be let back into their line-up.
Chicago decided to deal him instead.
Apparently Ranger GM Glen Sather is really high on Mironov — from back in their Edmonton days: “[Mironov's] a good guy in the dressing room. The players will like him. He’s an upbeat, positive guy.”
I bet the Blackhawks would disagree.
Also annoying about this whole thing is that back in October, the Rangers had the chance to grab Mike Grier from Edmonton, but the Rangers passed, saying his salary was too high. Now they’re paying Mironov $1.6 million for half a season. And Grier is having an amazing year in Washington.
For the record, Mironov had two assists for the Rangers, as they whomped Carolina 5-1.
