Duck Hunting (For the Post-Season)

Oddly enough, the Ducks continue to thrive. Goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere just pitched his seventh shutout of the season, beating Columbus and moving the Ducks into sixth in the very tough Western conference. They’ve lost only five times since December 9. Giguere is keeping Anaheim in games. How much so? Twenty-one of their last 22 games have been one-goal games or tied going into the last minute of the third. Now that’s close.
Something else interesting. Giguere’s backup, Martin Gerber, is 2-7-3. Pretty crappy, right? Right. But his GAA is 2.22 and his save percentage is .915.
Pretty amazing stuff in Disneyland. I can’t believe I just found out they had a hockey team this morning. I’m stoked, man!
