What’s in Anaheim’s Wheaties? Suddenly they’re two games up on the Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings.
Maybe I’m naive, but Detroit is just too good to lose to Anaheim. One interesting thing about Anaheim is how much production they’re getting out of recent acquisitions Steve Thomas, Rob Niedermayer, and Sandis Ozolinsh. They made some great deals. But when it comes down to it, when the Wings have their back to the wall, they’re going to come back really hard against Anaheim, rolling four killer lines. Anaheim just doesn’t have enough muscle or shooting to keep up.
