Lose-o Cujo
So the Wings are saying they might waive goalie Curtis Joseph since they have Dominik Hasek.
That’s pretty messed up. By admitting they’d be willing to cut him loose for nothing, the Wings are telling every interested NHL team not to bother with an offer. After all, why give up something for Joseph when you can have him for free?
And CuJo’s confidence has never been what you could call strong. It’s got to be killing him that no one is willing to break the bank on him. That might be part of Detroit GM Ken Holland’s plan, though. Break Joseph’s spirit before he turns him over to another team.
Also, I can’t find the report about Detroit being ready to waive Joseph on the Free Press Web site. What’s that about?
