Toronto Close to Choosing a GM
I guess I should mention the Toronto Sun is saying Toronto might have a GM by the end of next week.
According to Terry Koshan, it’s down to three men: Ex-Ranger mastermind Neil Smith, St. Louis Blues director of hockey operations John Ferguson Jr. and Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson.
My money is on Smith. Toronto wants to win by whatever means neccessary. They’ve already shown they’re not scared to spend money in a very Rangers way. Perhaps with Smith, they can successfully translate the money into a Stanley Cup. Although it should be mentioned that Smith was only able to do that once for the Rangers. Then everything turned to garbage.
