Toronto Close to Choosing a GM

I guess I should mention the Toronto Sun is saying Toronto might have a GM by the end of next week.
According to Terry Koshan, it’s down to three men: Ex-Ranger mastermind Neil Smith, St. Louis Blues director of hockey operations John Ferguson Jr. and Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson.
My money is on Smith. Toronto wants to win — by whatever means neccessary. They’ve already shown they’re not scared to spend money in a very Rangers way. Perhaps with Smith, they can successfully translate the money into a Stanley Cup. Although it should be mentioned that Smith was only able to do that once for the Rangers. Then everything turned to garbage.
