Comrie and Havlat Still on the Dole
So it seems Mike Comrie probably won’t be returning to the Oilers. I know it’s a complicated issue, but I feel that since Comrie is actually from Edmonton, he’s entitled to more money. At the same time, I feel he should be willing to accept less money to play for his hometown team. I have a feeling that everyone is caught in this same logic loop, which is why Comrie needs to be dealt out of Edmonton.
Ottawa is still trying to work out a deal with Martin Havlat, too. Unlike Edmonton and Comrie, the Senators are saying they won’t trade Havlat. So it’s sort of like a hostage situation. I’m not sure who is holding whom hostage, though. It just seemed like a cool thing to write.
