Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was right there with everyone else, saying Pat Quinn is almost done as coach of the Leafs.
You know. Before he put together their eight game winning streak.
Damned if I can explain it either. It’s like the Leafs offensive system is finally clicking after two years. They’re finally scoring enough to compensate for their defensive lapses.
Truthfully, I think the chemistry is just really great. Joe Nieuwendyk is grinding like it’s the 80s, and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen Owen Nolan so angry. Didn’t he start the season with my reporting rumors about his back being really messed up? Now, the guy is a freaking on-ice energy source.
So, honestly, I don’t think the Leafs can keep this up. I wouldn’t be shocked if this winning streak goes a few more games and then ends with an eight-game losing streak. But until then, the Leafs are playing some great hockey. I’d definitely tune in when they come to visit your hometown team.
