What’s going on with the Predators?
They grabbed Steve Sullivan from the Blackhawks. He’s a great pick-up for them. And they got him for just two second-round draft picks.
The Predators also extended original Predator Scott Walker’s contract.
How sad is it that the Blackhawks, an original six team, have no interest in keeping popular players or remaining competitive, while the Nashville Freaking Predators are working hard to make sure their season extends into the playoffs.
Blame high player salaries for the demise of the NHL if you want, but management sure isn’t helping.
Oh. But I guess you kind of can blame the players when they launch dangerous hits against finesse players.
You know. Like Colorado’s Steven Moore did against Vancouver’s Markus Naslund.
How bad was the hit?
The Denver papers were calling it dirty. And the hometown papers rarely side against the hometown players.
Meanwhile, Naslund will be out at least a week with a concussion.
So between the sleazy hits and the sleazy owners, is it any wonder people don’t want to watch hockey?
