Lemieux Has Whole World Off His Hips

Mario Lemieux is working out for the World Cup.
His weight is down to below 230 pounds. I’m assuming that’s to minimize the weight on his hip.
I’ve called out Lemieux many times for putting the NHL and hockey before the Penguins. But it might be good that he’ll be able to play hockey, even if there’s a lockout.
Of course, Lemieux dropped weight and got in shape before the start of last season, so he could still end up injured a few months into whenever hockey resumes. But Pittsburgh has made some decent moves during the offseason. Perhaps with Mark Recchi to shoulder some of the load, Lemieux won’t have to play for 12 people as he had to most of last season.
