This is pretty interesting. PRWeek is talking about the NHL lockout. And they mention that the Players’ Association is actually seeing a demand in media requests for their time. That kind of makes sense. There’s not a ton of reason to talk to the NHLPA unless there’s some kind of labor issue going on. PRWeek says the marketing departments of NHL teams are keeping pretty busy, trying to keep their shrinking fan base in the fold. So in a lot of ways, the NHL is in the public eye more now, with the players locked out, than had this been a regular season.
