So is it me, or could the league and union have come to the same kind of resolution they seem to be moving toward, like a few months ago?
Seriously. They couldn’t work out a $42.5-million cap in September?
I don’t know if Clyde Haberman, the Times’, Metro columnist, knows for sure that hockey is coming back, but he sure seems ready to get in there and wail on the Rangers before any of the other papers can. Is his shocking Ranger-bashing a happy hello or a sad goodbye?
So I could be wrong, but I have a feeling the union is going to take this deal, or a slightly higher cap, and hockey will resume by March. I think the owners and players just aren’t ready to destroy hockey. But maybe I’m just being hopeful.
