I know this time of year is all about the playoffs, but I can’t help but think about the 14 teams that didn’t make it into the post-season.
Like the Bruins.
But don’t worry. They have a plan to make things better.
Bruins VP Charlie Jacobs told the Boston Herald about them:
Jacobs said plans are in the works to spruce up TD Banknorth Garden over the summer, with a new high-definition, center-hung scoreboard, improvements to the premium seats as well as the merchandise and concession areas on the docket. He said other changes to the arena could also be on the way.
Yeah. Because the Bruins need a new scoreboard. They don’t have any personnel issues.
Although to be fair, Jacobs did say the team will try and sign some talent. But he seems pretty disconnected from the fact that most NHL players wouldn’t touch Boston with a 10-foot pole. I mean, if they give away Joe Thornton, just what kind of players do they want to keep?
But fans really just want to see a nice scoreboard.
