I haven’t been knocked out by the play in the finals. Ottawa finally had some legs Tuesday night, but Anaheim’s Jean-Sebastien Giguere played like it was 2003. He was the difference. And Ottawa coach Bryan Murray splitting up Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley? That just reeks of desperation. The announcers on NBC loved that Ottawa was going straight to the net, playing a north-south game. But you’re only going to stop Giguere if you get him moving laterally. Ottawa needs to think more east-west. You can’t just shoot at Giguere from the faceoff circles.
How great was Alanis Morissette on the anthems, though? Don Brennan is with me.
Also, Newsday had a nice little column pitching ex-Isles GM Mike Milbury for a TV gig. Milbury was a horrible GM but he can be pretty funny sometimes.
Also, since I know a few librarians read this, you might want to check out Digg.com and Socially Driven Authority from the new issue of Library Philosophy and Practice.
