I want to be an NHL coach because you often get to be way crazy.
Take Red Wings coach Mike Babcock. He just announced he’s going to rotate goalies Chris Osgood and Dom Hasek every other game until the 60th game of the season. What happens at game 60? Does Babcock just give one of them every game for the rest of the season? And why game 60 and not game 65? Is it some kind of speed limit thing?
Also, Wings defenseman Andreas Lilja has a funny bet with Henrik Zetterberg: Zetterberg needs to hit 50 goals before Lilja hits 15 points. No word on what the stakes are. Or the time frame for the bet. It could be 60 games.
