Flyers Don’t Fly

OK. So I guess the Flyers were more out of gas than we thought. What can you say about a 6-0 loss? It’s just a horrible way for the Flyers to end their season.
Moving onto other things, Larry Brooks says it looks like Jaromir Jagr will return to the Rangers next season, meaning the offense will continue to run through Jagr and not through Scott Gomez, who plays on a different line. Chris Drury also will probably keep his third-line role. I’m just reporting this so the Flyers don’t feel so bad about their situation. Things could definitely be worse for them.
Tonight, we get to see if the Wings can put away the Stars. It looks like Detroit coach Mike Babcock is going to mix his lines a little bit. I’m guessing he wishes he could get Johan Franzen in the mix, but he hasn’t been cleared to practice yet.
Also, totally unrelated to hockey, but THE ZEN OF BOBBY V, about former New York Met manager Bobby Valentine, who now manages in Japan, is pretty great. I caught it on ESPN2. I’m not sure if it’s in their regular rotation, but it’s a great documentary. If you can’t catch it, rent it.
