Just some quick weekend notes that fascinated me:

• The Bruins have been playing with an incorrectly measured faceoff dot. I can’t believe it took so long for anyone to realize (someone from the press caught it) and I can’t believe those dots aren’t done off of some kind of stencil.
• Goalie coach Andy Moog is working with Dallas’ struggling Marty Turco. Apparently Moog hasn’t been around much, concentrating on other duties for the Stars and because Turco was self-coaching. Note to Stars: Don’t ever let Turco coach himself again. He seems to have broken his game.
• Mark Parrish seems to be working his way back to the Islanders. The team signed him to a minor league contract. So I guess that youth movement is really working out for the Isles, huh? The job market must have been pretty tight for Parrish to go for this gig. The other offer must have been Tampa or maybe the Ice Capades. I’m glad Parrish is on his way back, though.
