Steve With a View

Earlier this season, Mario Lemieux retired, Brett Hull retired, Dave Andreychuk retired and everyone was just kind of staring at Steve Yzerman, waiting for him to hang up his skates.
Fast forward a couple of months.
Yzerman is one of Detroit's hottest forwards. He's got five points and seven assists in Detroit's last nine games. Amazingly, he's doing this averaging around 15 minutes a game.
Even more amazingly, he picked UCLA and Florida for his NCAA pool and Pittsburgh for the Super Bowl.
Obviously, Yzerman has cracked both the secret of eternal youth and the secret of successful gambling.
I know it sounds crazy, but I think, at this point, if Meredith Viera leaves THE VIEW, I really think everyone needs to seriously consider Yzerman as a co-host. He knows way too mcuh to be kept off of American TV.
UPDATE: Abel to Yzerman points out (politely) that I can't read. Andreas Lilja is actually the Wings' gambling genius.
With that in my pocket, I'm picturing something less THE VIEW and more LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY for the two of them. LIVE WITH ANDREAS AND STEVIE Y will feature health tips and gambling pics. I still feel that it's a strong project.
I'm also going to learn to read.

Hand in Glove

The only team worse than the Buffalo Sabres in the past ten games?
The St. Louis Blues.
What's going on with Buffalo?
How do you go down to the Leafs, 7-0?
I haven't watched a lot of the Sabres this season, so I'm really curious just what their problem is. And I'm shocked that despite the horrible end to their season, the Sabres are still locked onto fourth place in the standings.
I don't know. To be honest, this weekend was all about the Smiths reunion weekend on Sirius.
Apparently, people keep offering the Smiths insane amounts of money to reunite, and the Smiths keep saying no.
So if the Smiths can hang tough, you've got to think the Sabres can, too.
