Leetch Retires

This probably isn't shocking to anyone, but here in New York it's kind of a big deal: Brian Leetch officially announced his retirement.
He hadn't played as a Ranger in two years but Rangers beat writer John Dellapina, bless his heart, never gave up hope Leetch would come back to the Rangers one last time.
Leetch, as many Ranger fans recall, was ridiculously and unceremoniously traded to Toronto back in March 2004. I think Dellapina was the only one who thought Leetch could somehow see past that to re-join the team.
Also, the mighty Jim Kelley seems pretty sure the Predators will leave Nashville for Southern Ontario. It almost sounds like a Neil Young lyric.

Hasek: 'I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up...Again'

Is it me or is Dom Hasek now starting games sprawled out?

goalie Dominik Hasek sprawled out in the crease

Is he just totally done with the pretense of standing?

Life in B-Town

The only consolation in Buffalo? The fact that Canada was wrong about Danny Alfredsson all of these years. It's not a huge consolation but it's something.
